8-3-05 - A police chase added some drama to morning rush hour in Phoenix, Ariz. Wednesday morning. The high-speed police pursuit zigzagged through neighborhoods and highways until the suspect was apprehended.
A local television station reports the driver barely missed a sheriff's deputy in a residential area near after the pursuit began on Highway Loop 303.
During the 45 minute pursuit the driver raced through red lights and reached speeds of 100 miles per hour.
The driver finally was stopped because of traffic. Sheriff's deputies were able to block him in and take him into custody.
No word yet on what led to the high-speed chase.
