10-10-05 - Police in Atoka County chased a suspect Sunday night beginning in Stringtown and ending just south of Tushka on 69/75.
A Stringtown police officer tried to stop the female driver who tried to get away by heading North on Highway 69 toward Kiowa. Eventually Stringtown, Atoka and Tushka Police were all involved as well as the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The driver turned back South running five road blocks and having several close calls with other vehicles. She was brought to a stop when an OHP officer intentionally crashed into her one mile South of Tushka on 69.
She was running on the rim of two tires by then after Atoka Police had used spike grips to try and stop her.
The driver is now in the Atoka County Jail, but there is no word from authorities on why she ran. Bryan County OHP tells KXII that she was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
