10-11-05 - Ardmore residents could soon have computers reading their water meter every month instead of a human.
Right now, three employees go out everyday and read each meter by hand. That means staggered bills, and the readings are only 96%accurate.
The city says automatic meter readers would do the job in one day, be 100% accurate and save the city thousands.
Starting Wednesday, a company out of Broken Arrow will be conducting a study to see if it's economic feasible for the town. They will present the results to commissioners at next weeks commissioners meeting.
