10-14-05 - A Grayson County Sheriff's Deputy was fired as part of an on-going investigation.
The person named in this investigation has been with the sheriff's office for five years. He was fired on September 29th, and has since appealed that decision.
Sheriff Keith Gary says it is a personnel matter and he cannot tell us
why the deputy was terminated, but KXII confirmed through the Sherman Police Department late Thursday afternoon that a woman has accused a sheriff's deputy of sexual assault.
The complaint was filed on September 18th stating the alleged assault occurred at a residence in the Sherman city limits.
The woman told police it happened after a party, and she submitted to a sexual assault examination. Investigators are waiting on the results of
About twenty people who attended the party have been interviewed, and Sherman police say they expect to turn over the results of their
investigation to the county attorney sometime next week.
No arrests have been made in this particular investigation as of Thursday.
