Building Re-Opens For Shelter

09-04-05 – Volunteers in Whitewright have revived the Sunbridge Rehabilitation and Care Center on Bond Street to welcome over 100 evacuees from Louisiana. The shelter is the biggest in Grayson County.

The building has sat dormant for the past five years, but will be home for those left without due to Hurricane Katrina.

The Red Cross is helping run the shelter and are asking for more volunteers to help with aiding evacuees.
