10-29-05 - Investigators are recommending charges be filed against a Dallas truck driver in an accident that killed a Savoy father and his three young children in August.
Tommy Moore and his three children, Jacob, Alison, and Mary were heading back to their Savoy home, but before they could cross the Choctaw Bridge, a utility trailer came loose from the cab of a semi heading in the opposite direction. The trailer slammed into their car and killed all four instantly.
DPS investigators have been looking into the accident for months and will turn over their recommendation to the District Attorney next week. Investigators say they will recommend the 26 year old truck driver face four counts of criminally negligent homocide. William Penate works for Statewide Transportation Services out of Dallas, Texas.
Grayson County District Attorney Joe Brown will present the case to a grandy jury in the next few weeks. He says the trucking company could also face charges.
