OKLAHOMA CITY -- Two local Oklahoma lawmakers have been honored by a prominent child state youth support agency.
Oklahoma state senators Johnnie Crutchfield and Jay Paul Gumm have been inducted into the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy Hall of Fame. They were selected for their work with Oklahoma youth and their efforts in improving juvenile justice, child poverty, safety, and education.
Crutchfield and Gumm join a long list of other state policymakers who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since 2003.
