Habitat for Humanity Breaks Ground on 13th Home

11-5-05 – A Denison family thanked volunteers as they broke ground on their brand new home Saturday. The Grayson County chapter of Habitat for Humanity is on their 13th new home.

Donal and Tonya Brown grew up in Denison. They submitted an application for a home one year ago and say they’re excited about the opportunity for their four teenage daughters.

Homeowner selections are based on the greatest need and the homes are built and sold at no profit for families who are not able to afford homes.

Families who qualify for homes build up what’s called, “Sweat Equity.” Families earn homes by helping build other houses.
