A | A | A

To honor this week's A+ Athlete, we head over to Atoka High School and meet Ashten Pfaff. Mark Van Paasschen reports.

This week's A+ Athlete is Ashten Pfaff of Atoka High School. She is a two-sport standout for the Wampus Cats, where she plays softball and basketball.

Basketball is Ashten’s true love, and her coach says she is the ideal high school athlete.

While that should be motivation enough, Ashten knows there are other reasons to hit the books. She is definitely not in danger of that, sporting a sparkling 4.2 grade point average.

On the court, Ashten’s honors are plentiful. She was voted to the all-state team by the Oklahoma Coaches Association and named to the Kimaichi All-Star Game.

Pfaff is headed to Southeastern Oklahoma State University next year to continue her basketball career. Chances are pretty good that she'll be a stand-out student athlete for the savage storm just like she has been in Atoka.

Congratulations to Ashten Pfaff on being named this week's A+ Athlete.
