11-12-05 – Police are investigating how a handgun ended up in a Salvation Army donation box in Ardmore. Thrift store workers, searching through boxes of donations, found a 22-caliber semi-automatic handgun in the pocket of an old, checkered sports jacket on Thursday.
The jacket never made it to the showroom and police were called in. They say the gun was not registered as a stolen weapon.
The gun is now in the evidence room at the Ardmore Police Department.
