SHERMAN, Tex. -- A friendly gathering in Sherman ended with a twist and jail time for one Sherman man Friday evening.
Sherman police say a group of friends were drinking, and then began to argue and fight around 7 p.m. on Friday in the 100 block of Miller Drive.
At that point, Noah Ronte Gladstone, 22, was asked to leave. Police say an intoxicated Gladstone drove off, hitting some vehicles and attempting to run over a person.
Police say Gladstone took off, but was later caught in van Alstyne, where he was left hanging-- literally.
"He drove through a road closed sign, his vehicle went down the embankment and was hanging by the rear bumper over a ravine," Sgt. Bruce Dawsey of the Sherman Police Department says.
Gladstone was taken to the Grayson County Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
