10-24-05 - Hundreds were on-hand Sunday afternoon at a groundbreaking ceremony for Love County's First Catholic Church.
Construction is set to begin in two months, and hundreds of families at the Good Shepherd Mission in Marietta have outgrown their old church.
Members say the groundbreaking was five years in the making.
"Oh this is a very very great day because we start to come through the dream of a community to build a new church in this county and in this town," Good Shepherd Mission Padre Juan Guerrero said.
The church is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2006.
