10-31-05 – As Halloween night approaches, police plan to step-up patrols to prevent pranks. Police in Sulphur and Davis are investigating an incident that started last week.
A Davis woman woke up to find her yard filled with pumpkins and other decorations – but they were taken from a yard in Sulphur.
Police say the crimes are being taken seriously. It’s a felony to throw anything from a moving vehicle – that includes eggs. Stealing and rolling pumpkins from vehicles can mean charges for speeding, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment.
Police plan to patrol problem areas Halloween night.
