Former Cop Busted for Meth

11-17-05 - Local, state and federal authorities arrested a former Denison police officer on Wednesday for drug possession and distribution. They apprehended David Wayne Stanley in Bonham.

Members of the Bonham Police Department and Fannin County Sheriff’s Office assisted the United States Drug Enforcement Administration in the operation. They served a warrant from the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas charging Stanley with Conspiracy to Distribute or Possess with intent to distribute or Dispense Methamphetamine.

Stanley lives in Bonham and left the Denison police force in 2001. At the time of the arrest, Stanley was in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine ICE.
