Sherman Teens Recovering after Wreck

11-20-05 - All three Sherman High School juniors hurt in a one car rollover, Friday, are recovering from their injuries. Police got the call around 9 a.m. Friday morning that Megan Talcott, Kambria Dansby and Ashley Taylor were headed east on Highway 82 when their vehicle rolled near Skaggs Road.

A truck driver said he was driving about 55 miles per hour in the same direction on Highway 82 when he saw the teens sail past him in their silver car. The next thing he saw was them driving off the road.

"According to a witness, we haven't been able to verify this yet, but a witness said they were driving at a high rate of speed and rolled multiple times," Sgt. Mark McRee of the Sherman Police Department said.

Megan Talcott, the driver, was flown to Parkland Hospital in Dallas with head trama, and the other two were pinned in the car for sometime before being taken to Wilson N. Jones Medical Center.

Megan was upgraded over the weekend to stable condition. She was also taken off life support. Kambria and Ashley have already been released from the hospital.

Eastbound Highway 82 just west of Texoma Parkway remained completely blocked off as of 1 p.m., and traffic in that direction is being rerouted to Texoma Parkway.
