CHOCTAW COUNTY, OK - A suspected drunk driver who fled the scene of an accident last night in Choctaw County is now in jail.

OHP says 34-year-old Daniel Martin of Rattan was south on State Highway 93 north of Hugo around 10:30 last night when he came to a construction zone where a light controlled the one open lane of the highway.

When the light turned green, troopers say Martin passed another car in a no-pass zone, drove through the cones, and crashed into a construction trailer.

His passenger, 41-year-old Timothy Paul Young of Rattan, was pinned inside the pickup for nearly an hour before he was freed. He was flown to a Plano hospital where he was admitted in stable condition.

Martin fled the scene but he was arrested this morning by sheriff's deputies.

OHP thinks alcohol played a role in the crash.
