2 arrested for moving missing Lindsay man's corpse

SEMINOLE COUNTY, OK - Hours after the body of a missing Lindsay, Oklahoma, man is found, state investigators say two women are now in custody accused of illegally removing his corpse.

Last night we reported the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation located the body of 32-year-old Nathan Blankenship in Seminole County at around 6:30 p.m. Spokeswoman Jessica Brown said a witness helped lead agents to the body, which was located near Highway 3590 just north of Highway 59.

This morning the OSBI announced the arrests of two women for Unauthorized Removal of a Dead Body – a felony. Jessica Cornwell, 33, of Oklahoma City, and Adena Beasley, 32, of Oklahoma City, were booked into the Seminole County Jail. OBSI says the women were acquaintances of Blankenship’s. The OSBI says it is now investigating this case as a homicide.

Blankenship, whose last known address is in Lindsay, had been missing from Oklahoma City since February 2nd. Brown said investigators suspect foul play.

"Right now the medical examiner will take custody of the body and perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. The OSBI will be opening a homicide investigation at this point," Brown said.
