2 killed in Atoka Co. head-on collision

ATOKA COUNTY, OK - A head-on collision in Atoka County early Friday morning left two men dead.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 38-year-old Allen Banks of Atoka was westbound on State Highway 7 two miles west of Atoka around 4:30 a.m. Friday when a car driven by 29-year-old Eric Reid of Krebs crossed left of center and struck his vehicle head-on.

Banks dies at the scene. Reid died a short time later at an Atoka hospital.

Troopers say both men were wearing seat belts. There were no passengers.
