11-30-05 - An auto-pedestrian accident sent two people to the hospital Wednesday morning. It happened just before 8:30 a.m. on Highway 69 just south of Dripping Springs Road.
Crews were setting up a work zone, and Orville Walker of Denison was legally parked on the side of the road. He was there working to put construction cones along the highway.
That's when a Trenton man veered onto the shoulder, side swiping both the vehicle and the construction worker. Both were transported to Texoma Medical Center, and there is no word as of yet on their conditions.
The road is down to one lane, and TxDOT advises everyone be aware and go slowly through the area.
Construction crews will be working to repair the shoulder for the rest of the week.
