K.I.S.S. = Keep It Simple & Save
 The 2 best things to promote good health and well being

o A good gardener plants 3 seeds
 one for bugs
 one for wealth
 one for him / herself

 Sure Path to Success

o Soil
 Compost is best with decomposed granite and expanded shale

o Soil amendments
 ½ cup of dolomatic lime (Horticultural Hydrated Lime)
 ½ cup of Blood meal
 ½ cup bone meal

 Reason for above amendments

o To prevent blossomed rot
o Helps plant by adding and making available necessary calcium, Clay soil have plenty of calcium but is locked up in clay
o Plant your plant deep and remove lower leaves of truck (main stem)
o While planting place a 3 lbs. coffee can (bottom cut out)
o To protect young plant from cut worms *Plastic milk jugs work also
o This will protect your plant and an easy way to water each plant; Fill above root zone

 Mulch Each Plant

o Holds in Moisture
o Protects plants from disease, from fungal issues when soil splashes up on lower leaves
o Keep dirt in check.

 Watering

o Do Not water foliage
o Water the base of the plant
o Tomatoes require lots of water. *Every 2 – 3 days deep water
o Take a hose; set at base of plant and water a slow pace

Coffee grounds! Tomatoes love coffee grounds, both in the compost and directly around the plant. You can compost the filter and all. Starbucks sometimes will give you theirs if you ask. The earth worms love it too.
