Donations needed at red kettles in Fannin County
Posted: 12/05/2013 - BONHAM,TX---Red kettle donations across Texoma could have a big impact on the Salvation Army in Fannin County.
12-7-05 - State Treasurer Scott Meacham says income tax rebate checks should be received by December 12th at more than one million Oklahoma households.
Meacham said today that detailed information about the rebates is on his office's Web site at www.treasurer.ok.gov.
He says taxpayers who haven't received a tax rebate by December 12th should call his office at (405) 522-3333.
Under legislation proposed by Governor Brad Henry and approved by the Legislature, almost 92 million dollars in surplus revenue is being returned to taxpayers.
For taxpayers filing as an individual or married filing separately last year, the payments are $45 each.
Taxpayers who filed as a surviving spouse, head of household or married filing jointly are getting $90 checks.

Posted: 12/02/2013 - Four local people recently completed at least 34 hours of training and 2 hours of courtroom observation in order to become volunteer advocates for children in foster care. The Honorable Judge Lauri Blake administered an oath to the new CASA volunteers in the 336th District Court after training was complete. New child advocates include Priti KC, Mary Norris, Dave Gehalo and Chantal Carey.
