A large industrial building in Fannin County was ripped clean of more than $100,000 worth of electrical equipment. Authorities are now offering a hefty reward for anyone with information about the crime.
It was discovered Wednesday while the city was showing a potential buyer a building in Bonham owned by Bethel Native Corporation, but when the lights didn't come on they discovered nearly 200 circuit breakers ripped clean, along with hundreds of clipped electrical wires.
Police say whoever is responsible knew what they were doing. It will take some time before the building is ready for the market.
Wayne Moore, a local selling agent, says, "It makes me very angry. It will certainly delay that effort."
An $8,000 reward is being offered for anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible.
