12-26-05 - For the 2nd time in 3 days, grass fires are plaguing parts of Bryan County. For most of the afternoon, crews have been battling fires north of highway 70 near the Cardinal Glass plant.
One structure has already been destroyed by flames in the Silo road area, and crews battling the fires have faced water shortage problems.
High winds and warm temperatures, combined with an on-going drought, have made fire conditions prime. Bryan County crews also fought fires on Saturday, which resulted in the temporary closing of some roads.
For the latest on Monday's fires, watch First News at 5 & 6 for live reports.
