1-4-05 - A Davis police officer is under investigation after a woman claims he raped her over the weekend. The Murray County Sheriff's Department called the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to look into the claims.
The 40-year-old victim contacted the sheriff's department early Sunday morning. She claimed she had been raped at her home in Sulphur by the off-duty Davis officer.
Authorities are not releasing if the officer and victim knew each other.
The officer joined the department six months ago and is now on paid administrative leave. The O.S.B.I. just started their investigation yesterday.
