1-5-06 - A Marietta man pleaded not guilty for the second time to two counts of first-degree murder during his arraignment Thursday. Maurice Miller is accused of killing James and Lena West in their Marietta home back in 1994.
Last November, the case was thrown out when the prosecution could not find a key witness. But the DA refilled the charges immediately and will now try to get a conviction with DNA evidence in front of a jury when the case goes to trial later this year in June.
