Officials say a fatal accident involving a pedestrian and the Heartland Flyer in Texas caused a three hour delay in the Amtrak train's return Friday night.
Oklahoma Department of Transportation spokeswoman Brenda Perry
says the accident happened in Gainesville as the train was leaving the station on California Street.
The Justice of the Peace says the train sounded its horn and the signal lights were working, but the woman tried to beat the train across the tracks on a bicycle.
The accident also will affect the train's schedule for tomorrow,
forcing it to depart Oklahoma City at 8:55 A-M.
