A local assisted living center has been serving residents for the last fifteen years, but the end of the month could bring and end to their business.
Ruth Longsine has been catering to her clients needs for fifteen years. But that joy has turned to sadness after these residents were told to begin looking for a new home.
On a yearly basis, Longsine must renew her license to run the facility. Her manager says she mailed in the proper paperwork in August when it was due, but the state says they never got it and began taking action.
The owner has tried contacting the Department of Human Services to renew her license. She's also hired an attorney and even filed an appeal, which if accepted will put a hold on residents having to move out so soon.
