2-6-06- On First News last week we told you about jail overcrowding problems in Pontotoc County.
The day after we ran the story the Oklahoma State Jail Inspector made a surprise visit to the jail. The county was sited on several violations. To help with prisoner numbers the sheriff will not longer allow the Ada Police Department to house their inmates in the county jail anymore. The sheriffs say Ada PD can use their own city jail.
No word yet when the new conditions will take effect.
