OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The registration deadline is near for voters wishing to cast a ballot in the July 29 primary election.

Unregistered voters who want to vote in the primary must register by Thursday or mail a registration form postmarked by midnight.

Prospective voters can register at their county election board office or any tag agency.

Statewide, primary elections are set for Republicans and Democrats for the U.S. Senate seat held by Sen. Jim Inhofe. Republicans also will vote for primary candidates in a Corporation Commission race.

Democrats also have a choice for the U.S. House seat held by Dan Boren, who is being challenged by Kevin Coleman.

Primary candidates also will be vying in state House and Senate races, as well as a variety of county elections across the state.

DONT THINK ALL THE DEPUTIES ARE BACKING GRACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: grant supporter on Jul 6, 2008 at 09:58 AM
WOW, spoken like a true employee!! lol......get over yourself. If elected, i seriously doubt anyone could do that bad of a job. besides grace let an employee stay that was defrauding the county and lets an employee that beats the inmates and has for years stay........no way im voting for him. You vote whatever way you want, but lets not get into a bashing grant/grace war, im sure i know way more about grace than you do about grant!!!!!

If Grant is elected the detention center will end up like the Bryan County Jail, having immates just walk out the front door!

Burkhart made personel changes and he still was an outstanding sheriff. So try to come up with another one. I have personally talked with Grant and no he does not plan ANY personel changes!! you are wrong! Get over it and vote GRANT!!!!!

You people just need to go ahead and vote for Ken Grace because he is the only person to get the job done. If Grant is elected he intends to have personel changes and if the other guy is elected he'll have the trustees rounding up shopping carts at Wal-mart!

vote Grant, what has grace done? nobody knew him before being "appointed" after the death of sheriff burkhart. I hope people dont give him sympathy vote because he worked for Burkhart....if thats the case, Grant worked for burkhart also, he should get votes for that......and as far as the "cash"...that just means his deputies have more time to hit people up for support.

an excellent job so far? what has he done? so far i dont think any of their major cases that he ran to the media about have been solved, all he has done is get his name in the paper and on kxii trying to get votes cause no one knew who he was prior to this year!!

Posted by: another voter Location: ardmore on Jul 4, 2008 at 01:58 PM
WOW grace has the sympathy vote from burkhart supporters...thats it! He was a nobody for 8 years and will still be a nobody. Im sure the little towns would love to hear a grace supporter telling them they dont matter...thats why people will be voting for someone other than grace. help smash meth lol (cool sign grace)

Vote Grace, he's done an excellent job so far. No one will beat him, he has the cash and the whole county behind him, especially the town of Ardmore, if you win Ardmore you win the election, the little towns don't matter. There will be no runoff election. Grace is expect to carry 60% of the vote!
