2-9-06- Former Carter County assistant district attorney Craig Ladd is the new district attorney for a five-county area in south-central Oklahoma.
Governor Brad Henry appointed Ladd Thursday to succeed Mitch Sperry, who died in December. The 35-year-old Ladd will be chief prosecutor in Oklahoma's 20th Judicial District, which includes Carter, Johnston, Love, Marshall and Murray counties.
Ladd graduated from Texas Tech University in 1993 and earned his law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1996.
