12-Year-Old, Teenagers Hurt in Wreck

3-11-06 – The wreck happened around ten on Friday night on a county road one mile north of Lone Grove.

Troopers say the vehicle driven by 16-year-old Thomas Everett of Lone Grove was traveling at a high rate of speed when it went off the right side of the road, hitting a fence post and telephone pole. The vehicle rolled one and a half times; ejecting all three victims.

The driver was taken to the hospital in Ardmore in stable condition.

A 15-year-old passenger, James McLaughlin of Lone Grove was taken to Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore in serious condition.

A 12-year-old passenger, Gage McLaughlin was taken to an Ardmore Hospital and than transferred to Oklahoma City by medical helicopter in critical condition.

Troopers say the driver and passengers were not wearing seatbelts.
