Bryan Co., OK -- A Cartwright man is recovering after a major accident in Bryan County.

It happened on Highway 70 just west of Mead, around 6:00 pm Friday.

Authorities say a Ford pickup was eastbound when the driver may have fallen asleep and ran off the road, struck an embankment and went airborne.

That truck came to a stop after hitting another embankment.

29-year-old Allan Golden was flown to McKinney where he was last listed in stable condition. Sources tell KXII-TV Golden serves as an Achille police officer.

My son was two days old and I was driving to Oklahoma City for a Dr. Appt. I was on my way home when the wreck happened. ALL of my boys have been here to see me. In order. Jonathan, Dakota (NOT Cody), Allen Jr. and Ethan. I am doing well in rehab now and thank you all for your prayers and thoughtful wishes. I am used to being bad mouthed as an officer because some people discriminate against me because of my profession. This is your constitutional right. But it is also my right to say get out of my business if you don't know what is going on. I did make a mistake by fallinf asleep. I thank God I did not hit anyone and only hurt myself. God Bless and Thank You. Allen

Evidently he has two boys that nobody wants to mention, how sad. They are affected too, or does that matter? Great that he is doing better maybe someone should let his two oldest children know how he is doing.
