4-2-06 – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a deadly accident on Highway 77 in Murray County Sunday afternoon was caused by a driver that had a heart attack behind the wheel.
Troopers say 73-year-old Edward Wright of Tecumsah had a heart attack while driving a Buick south-bound on the highway around 1:40 pm. He ran off the road and hit a tree.
Wright was flown to Norman Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A passenger in the car, Onalee Wright, was taken to the hospital in stable condition with leg injuries.
