PARIS, TX - The 24th annual Tour de Paris bicycle rally took place Saturday morning in Lamar County.

Riders made their way through the downtown streets of Paris in addition to the several fm and county roads on the typical route. Over 800 riders braved the heat to participate in one of 4 ride lengths, 15k, 40k, 70k and 100k.

Many people turned out downtown and along roadways to cheer as the riders passed by and over 200 volunteers showed up to keep the riders hydrated along the route. The number of riders grew this year by 60.
