Church Loses 3 Women in Accident

4-3-06 - Members of a church in Whitesboro are grieving over the loss of three of their members, including the pastor’s wife.

34-year old Fonda Lynette Gray was killed Saturday afternoon as she and five others were on their way back from a women’s retreat in Lufkin when she fell asleep at the wheel and rolled the vehicle off Highway 69 in Minneola. Kelly Gray, Fonda’s husband, is the pastor of Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Whitesboro.

Fonda was extremely involved with the local and state Republican Party’s. Church members Pasty Koon and Dixie Estridge were the other two members killed in the horrific crash.

Gray's daughter Amber was also in the vehicle and is in a Tyler Hospital in fair condition.
