ARDMORE, Okla. -- The Oklahoma District Attorneys Association continued its annual summer conference today at the Ardmore Convention Center.

The main topic this year is prosecution of homicide.

Today just before lunch, Oklahoma state Attorney General Drew Edmondson addressed over 150 attendees.

Organizers say conferences like this one are a good way for prosecutors to continue their education and stay on top of evolving forms of crime.

"Violent crimes have stayed pretty much the same. You have your murder, your arson, your rape and things of that nature. What's gotten more sophisticated and have changed a lot are the white collar crimes," Edmondson said.

The district attorneys spent Thursday afternoon participating in a golf tournament.

I agree with Just Passin' through. "Republican's" bashing of anyone and everything is tiresome.

I am really getting tired of all the bashing of DA Redman. She has done a fantastic job at the DA office. I have known her since she first started here. She has always been fair and she is a true professional. It is very easy to sit in your recliner and rant and rave about this and that. You need all the facts before you can make a decision. Most don't have a clue about the law and how it works. Emily, keep up the good work!!
