Roads will remain treacherous from snow and sleet until mid-day, when sunshine shroud melt most of it away. Snow is likely to remain on the ground until Friday.
4-7-06 - Volunteer firefighters in Bryan County will soon have a facility to develop their shills that is much closer to home.
Representative John Carey and Senator Jay Paul Gumm were on hand for the ground breaking of the new fire training facility to be located behind the Kaimichi Technology Center. The new facility will be open to any firefighter and will allow them to stimulate grassfires, structure fires, and other flames they may encounter.
The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture wrote a check for over $268,000 for the facility’s construction that is scheduled for completion within a year.
