SHERMAN, TX -- Friday, Sherman ISD celebrated it's annual 4th Grade Field Day.
Nearly 700 kids from seven Sherman elementary schools, as well as St. Mary's Catholic School and Texoma Christian School took part in today's games.
They competed in tire roll and hula jump relays, sack races and 100-yard dashes.
Families lined the benches to support their schools and children at Bearcat Stadium.
Over 10,000 students have taken part in this event in it's 25-year existence.
The event coordinator, Mike Gillum, says he enjoys their reaction every year.
"The kids get out of this a ton of fun, boy their faces lit up, it's just so much, fun," says Gillum.
This year marked Gillum's last as coordinator. Julie Brown from Crutchfield Elementary is taking over next year.
