Construction Impacts Easter Traffic

4-14-06 - Easter weekend could bring some traffic problems to those traveling on Interstate 35. Areas in Love County will be affected due to Interstate 35 being narrowed to one lane each direction to facilitate lane construction seven miles north of the Red River Bridge.

Additionally, at exit 5 the off-ramp will be closed on April 17th through April 20th and the on-ramp will be closed April 18th through April 21st for reconstruction. For alternate route maps and details about the resurfacing project click here.

And I-35 north and southbound will be narrowed to one lane each as well for four miles between SH-51 and the Mulhall exit for lane reconstruction. As well as US-69 being narrowed in Atoka County. Drivers can expect various lane closures in both directions of US-69 between Stringtown and Atoka as crews conduct surface work.

And US-270/SH-3 speed will be reduced in Woodward County. The speed limit on US-270/SH-3 is reduced to 55 mph beginning five miles south of Woodward and extending another five miles south as crews conduct surface work. And the Duncan bypass will be closed in Stephens County is closed to thru traffic at Beech Ave. for a surfacing project.
