4-25-06 - A teenager who admitted to the mutilating and killing a neighbor's dog in January was sentenced by a judge on Monday to counseling and time served in custody during the past 4 months.
19-year old Robert Lee Bailey will also be required to move in with his grandfather. Bailey was charged in January with larceny of a domestic animal and animal cruelty for the stabbing death of a poodle that belonged to William Prowse. This week, Prowse says the punishment is not enough.
The DA says this type of offense could carry up to five years in jail.
