SHERMAN, Tex. -- If you tried to get through the intersection at U.S. Highway 75 and U.S. Highway 82 early Thursday morning, you most likely did not get very far. A semi carrying big wind turbines stalled out.

The load is so big it takes two navigating pieces to move the big trailers, and apparently the battery died on the back end, leaving the enormous trailer blocking the intersection.

Traffic was backed up for about a half hour or so.

We are told the intersection should be cleared up now.

This truck was hauling a windmill so we could have wind power and if T.Boone gets his way these trucks will be everywhere blocking traffic and causing wrecks, lets stick with Nuclear power, and coal(trains carry the coal) and our roads will be easier to travers.....More oil and less blowhards.Keep T.Boone off our roads.yea

WOW! You guys are amazing, I can't tell if you guys are joking or not about taking the big trucks of the road. If you did that you wouldn't get your precious food, or home builiding supplies. Think before you speak, these drivers spend time away from their families so that you can feed yours.

ya dang thim big trucks for shiping food to us and everything we should take them off the road. I didn't get to wal-mart on time.

The problem is the stupid design of that intersection. It makes no sense that traffic wanting to change from 82 to 75 or vice versa has to exit to the frontage road and goo through 2 sets of lights! There should be direct ramps for through traffic and leave the signaled intersection to local traffic only.

There is no good route really. I have seen them out on 1417 trying to make the 691 turn to go east instead and that is no better with all the construction. And with the shear length and size of these things they're going to have a hard time making corners anywhere much less when they have mechanical failures.

These dangs trucks are always getting stuck and causing back ups!! You would think they would try to figure out a different route.
