5-1-06 - A four-year-old Bonham boy was run down by a drunk driver Sunday night while he was playing in his front yard. A 28-year-old man from Leonard is facing DWI and intoxicated assault charges.
Police say around 6:30 p.m. Telesforo Amando Pucchimal was driving in the 100 block of South Third Street when he ran off the road and hit a boy playing in the front yard of his home. Police were able to catch the driver seven blocks later.
The little boy is recovering from head trauma at a local hospital.
