Teens Caught Red-Handed Stealing Guns

The following is a news release from the Grayson County Sheriff's Office:

Sgt.Bowling and Cpl. Sean Lewers were dispatched to the 100 block of Angel Ridge in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival the Deputies met with the Chief of police, Dusty Miller was already on scene. While the Chief was informing the Deputies of what had occurred, an identified female advised them that there was another burglary occurring at the time in the 200 block of Red Bud lane and the homeowner had the suspects on scene. Sgt. Bowling and Cpl. Lewers arrived at the residence on Red Bud Lane and observed the owner and two juveniles standing in the driveway next to a Maroon pick up. The Owner said that he had caught one of the juveniles in the residence with an armload of guns. The Juveniles were placed in handcuff and one was sat in each of the Deputies patrol vehicles. Cpl. Lewers saw several guns in the bed of the Maroon pickup and knives, guns and ammunition in the cab. The Owner led the Cpl. Lewers into the residence and showed him where the guns were kept. Cpl. Lewers observed a gun cabinet with the glass doors broken out. After an inventory of the house it was determined that the juveniles had taken 14 guns, 3 riflescopes, binoculars, 2 knives, and a Sony play station. The Juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center and the vehicle was impounded. The estimated value of all that was taken is $8,310.00.
