SHERMAN, Tex. -- A Sherman man impaled on a tree branch was taken to a Dallas trauma center Monday night.

Sherman fire officials say the man was working around his house on Poco Redondo Road around 4:00 p.m. Monday when he fell on a branch.

One of my kids did something similar when he was younger. He was playing at a friend's house and he jumped out of a tree and fell on a spike of some sort in the yard and it went into his leg. The parents of the other boy brought him home with bloody rags and everyone was freaked out. It was scary. I hope this man is doing okay. Sounds like he'll probably be okay. He's probably hurting quite a bit though. Thank goodness for modern meds.

WOW! Thats not good! Reminds me when my sister fell through our glass table the day before her graduation... But we were lucky that she walked away from it with only a few scratches and her wire for her braces were knocked loose. We all laugh about it now...
