New Concerns at Site of Refinery Fire

5-21-06 - WYNNEWOOD, Okla. (AP) - Residents who live about five blocks north of a Wynnewood refinery are returning to their homes at their own risk after an acid vapor leak at the plant released harmful
fumes into the atmosphere.

Officials from the Gary-Williams Energy Corporation's refinery say they are still monitoring acid levels and none have exceeded limits set by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Company officials say the cause of leak has not been determined.

The acid leak comes about a week and half after a large fire at
the refinery.
