A water main break causing low pressure for much of Ardmore has been repaired. It broke Sunday morning at the intersection of 12th and Commerce Street. The low water pressure proved to be a problem for homes and businesses.
Wal-Mart had to close its McDonald’s and deli and use porta-potties because the pressure was not high enough to flush the toilets. The hospital had similar problems.
Although crews were able to get things back up and running last night, city officials are asking residents to keep conserving water by not watering your lawn, washing your car, and trying to avoid doing laundry if possible.
