06-07-06 - The fourth trial in the 1982 rape and murder of an Ada woman is set to begin in Pontotoc County next week. Jury selection began Thursday in the second trial of Glen Gore.
Gore is accused of murdering 21-year old Deborah Sue Carter in Ada in1982 and this is the second time he is standing trial for her murder; an appeals court threw out the previous conviction. Two men, Dennis Fritz and Ronal Williamson were originally convicted in 1988, but then exonerated six years ago.
New DNA evidence linked Gore, who also testified against Fritz and Williamson to the murder. The trial is expected to begin in Ada on Monday.
