SHERMAN, Tex. -- A Sherman woman was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after her car collided with a telephone pole and it fell onto her vehicle.
Police say a 41-year-old Sherman woman was traveling west on Washington Street around 2:45 Thursday afternoon when she lost control of her SUV and hit a pole near the corner of Washington and Elm Street.
Officials on the scene say the telephone pole snapped in half and fell on top of her SUV before rolling into the street.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Officers say that a pre-existing medical condition may have caused the accident.
No word the woman’s condition Thursday night.
