6-14-06 - It looks like city leaders in Colbert have solved their water shortage problem.
After taking a closer look at the eight pumps drawing water into the tank, drillers figured out automatic restrictors were stopping water from filling up the tank due to the dry conditions.
Those restrictors were removed just before three o'clock Wednesday, allowing the tank to begin filling back up. The city is still monitoring the tank and the mayor urges folks to continue conserving water.
Colbert water restrictions:
* only water lawns from 7pm to 9 p.m. Tues. and Thurs.
* continue conserving for 30 days
