SHERMAN, Tex. -- Rain Monday morning put a delay on construction at Loy Lake Road and Texoma Parkway in Sherman.

TX-DOT originally planned to start work on the drainage structure at the busy intersection on Monday, but now crews will have to wait until the land is completely dry, pushing the work off until Tuesday at the earliest.

The more than $200,000 project should be finished within about 45 days.

TX-DOT says they will begin work starting Tuesday, weather permitting. In the meantime, they ask that drivers slow down and pay attention to traffic control devices.
